Platt Park is a neighborhood located near Denver University. This neighborhood boasts a mix of charming streets lined with trees and majestic homes with bustling commercial areas anchored by Old South Pearl Street. The Old South Pearl Street Business District, which is vividly irradiated at night by black street lamps that look like vintage gas lamps, is this neighborhood's main draw. This neighborhood features Craftsman bungalows, Tudors, Victorians, and modern renovations stretching to Broadway, a trendy street where fun events are always happening. 
 
This gorgeous neighborhood bridges the gap between modern and historical. It has an intimate feel but still manages to maintain the convenience of city life. In recent years, older homes have been replaced with new construction properties and luxurious duplexes.

Platt Park feels more like a charming neighborhood  than an urban district. It has seasonal farmers' markets, artisan boutiques, and a charming main drag, Old South Pearl Street. On sunny summer and spring mornings, residents of Platt Park stroll the streets with friends and family while shopping in locally-owned boutiques or patronizing family-operated restaurants. The Light Rail offers easy access to Denver for those who want to experience downtown Denver's shopping and dining options.

South Broadway's Antique Row features popular stores such as Watson & Co. and 20th Century Interiors. Back on South Pearl Street, stores such as Melrose & Madison, Where The Sidewalk Ends Toy Shop, and Ruby's Market reign. 
 
After shopping, you can get a delicious meal at one of the many upscale restaurants nearby. Sushi Den is the gem of Old South Pearl Street and features a menu of delicious fish flown in daily from Tokyo. Kaos Pizzeria is the way to go if you're looking for a delightful pizza parlor serving gourmet pies, wine, and craft beer. Park Burger is your go-to option for award-winning burgers, shakes, fries, and beers. Steam Espresso Bar is an ideal spot for anyone looking for delicious coffee in a serene setting. 
 

Things to Do

There is no shortage of things to do in Platt Park. One local favorite is South Pearl Street Farmers Market, managed by HobNob events. Here, you can find a great selection of fresh, wholesome products. All products are grown, raised, gathered, or produced within Colorado. You can also attend the First Friday Art Walks, the signature event of Denver's Art District on Santa Fe. All year round, come rain or shine, the Denver art district comes alive on the first Friday of each month as thousands of people attend the First Friday Art Walk. 
 
You can also visit the Harvard Gulch Recreation Center, where you and your kids can enjoy a thrilling basketball game or tee off at the on-site, 9-hole golf course. You can walk to Broadway Station and take the light rail into the greater Denver area. Downtown Denver's dining, shopping, and entertainment scene are sure to keep you busy and entertained.
